About the Role
Support the Director, Relationship Testing in providing analysis and managing projects affecting relationship testing accreditation programs.
Work as directed with all government and other relevant agencies, as well as AABB staff to ensure communication of member and association concerns
Facilitate the meeting of all RT accreditation program initiatives and timelines through the development and execution of process plans
Assists with collection, compiling, and reporting of the Relationship Testing Technical Report
Participates in various standards and accreditation committee meetings as required.
Represent AABB at meetings of other accrediting agencies and professional organizations. Participate in the development of workshops and presentations as requested.
As part of the Accreditation and Quality team, develop and continuously fine-tune the accreditation process.
Assists in developing quality systems and assessor training materials as required.
Provide assistance to members, staff, and external inquiries with accreditation and technical questions
Review and evaluate self-assessment for applicant facilities.
Perform accreditation assessments as assigned.
About You
Education - Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, genetics, clinical laboratory science, or a related field
Experience - Three years of experience in relationship testing or forensic DNA testing is required. Previous experience in accreditation and quality, including auditing/assessment experience. Public speaking experience preferred.

In-depth knowledge of auditing/assessment principles and ability to apply those principles to the assessment of organizations engaged in relationship testing activities.
In-depth knowledge of quality management systems.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to direct, supervise and coach assessment team members. Must be able to share information and seek consultation effectively and have strong project management skills.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of:
Quality Management Systems including ISO 9000 and AABB Quality System Essentials
AABB Standards, OSHA, and other regulations as they apply to the relationship testing field.
Scientific principles underlying DNA testing for relationship determination.
Ability to present educational programs and train assessors.
Travel and other work related assignments on weekends are possible.
