The Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) is seeking a Public Policy & Advocacy Specialist to support AABB’s Public Policy and Advocacy department. As the Public Policy & Advocacy Specialist, you will assist with conducting research that supports advocacy efforts, engaging in meeting and project coordination, and conducting outreach to stakeholders, elected officials, and agency staff. You will track and analyze international, federal, state, and local policies and represent AABB with external stakeholders.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of related experience with the legislative or regulatory process at the federal or state level. This position requires health policy exposure, sophisticated writing skills, and experience leading complex projects through to completion managing both internal and external resources. Prior advocacy experience and knowledge of health issues and of federal and state legislative and regulatory processes and or government, advocacy, public affairs, or health care policy is preferred.
