The incumbent serves as a generalist in medical technology with responsibility for performing procedures in the areas of Blood Bank, Chemistry and Special Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, lmmunohematology, Phlebotomy, Shipping and Receiving and Reference Laboratory. The generalist medical technologist rotates with other generalists on a regular basis in all areas. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
