The Lead Medical Technologist at the Cincinnati VAMC will facilitate team or unit processes by working in collaboration with team members to ensure that priorities, goals, and achievements are coordinated with management. An MT/CLS at this level develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. Lead Medical Technologist is responsible for testing procedures performed on a variety of biological specimens and/or environmental samples using manual or automated techniques and require a broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
