BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time MT/MLS Generalist II – Nights for our Missouri Baptist Medical Center

Position Details:
- Overnight Shift – 18:30PM - 7:30AM schedule for weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Full-Time - 36 Hours per Week
- Position is for a Generalist
- Patient-centered
- Trained in the following areas of the Core Lab: Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Processing, Microbiology Set Ups, and Urinalysis
- Customer Service or Send outs, depending on the needs of the department
- Day-to-day duties include the analysis and reporting of patient samples, completing quality control processes and procedures, and completing instrument maintenance
- Cerner Millenium (LIS), Epic, Instrument Mangager, Sysmex WAM (hematology middleware), Cellavision (hematology application), Biorad Unity (Chemsitry QC), and Wellsky (Blood Bank System).
Experience:
- Previous work in a clinical / hospital laboratory (preferred)
- Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Tech Generalist
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical / Life Sciences or related field
- At least 2 years of experience
- ASCP, AMT,AAB or equivalent

Role Purpose
The Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) II performs specimen processing and routine / complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good clinical laboratory practice
