Medical Laboratory Scientist II, OMC Blood Bank Full Time
Responsible for a variety of routine and complex technical tasks in the performance of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Principal Accountabilities:1. Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area, documenting corrective action to any non-conforming event. 2. Prepares reagents, maintains an adequate supply of materials for test procedures and manages inventory to effectively reduce departmental waste/expense. 3. Exercises clinical judgment in assessing priorities while identifying, problem solving and offering solutions to test systems through the appropriate department channel
