The University of Chicago's Department of Pathology is searching for a full-time faculty member at the rank of assistant professor to serve as the Assistant Director of the Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics Laboratory Section. The appointee will work with the laboratory director, administrative director and manager, as well technical teams to facilitate laboratory testing (e.g., troubleshooting of unexpected results); review molecular typing, antibody testing, and cross-matching results; create reports and evaluate pre-transplant and post-transplant recipient immunological risk. The Assistant Director will participate in consultation with physicians, clinical transplant meetings, and clinical consultation with the on-call team; test validations; QA and QC processes and procedures
