Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Laboratory Technical Lead to join our Boise Main Laboratory team.
Unit/Position Summary
The Laboratory Technical Lead oversees and administers a variety of tests. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May organize workflow and technical direction of others. Is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with leaders from PH1 and PH2
- Prep onboarding materials for new hires, make sure all are complete, and stored electronically.
- Develop and revise training and onboarding documents.
- Develop and revise technical skills checklists.
- Develop training for supervisor onboarding.
- Help with the development and prep of the competency documents for Lab/AP staff for the critical thinking assessments with help from the Program Managers.
- Be a resource for training documents that arise with projects for Laboratory.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree.
- Experience: 4 years' experience.
- Certification: Must have one of the following:
- Blood Banking (ASCP_BB)
- Chemistry (ASCP_C)
- Cytogenetics (CYGT)
- Cytotechnologist (ASCP_CT)
- Hematology (ASCP_H)
- Histotechnologist (ASCP_HTL)
- Microbiology (ASCP_M)
- Molecular Biology (ASCP_MB)
- Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP_MLS)
- Medical Technologist (ASCP_MT or AMT_MT).
