You will provide instruction for phlebotomy programs offered by the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care. This will involve presenting full lectures to classrooms or mini-demonstrations on practical skills to small groups of students. You will:
* Instruct students on the proper application of knowledge, equipment, and skills of the laboratory profession * Perform fair, accurate, and consistent evaluation of students * Act as a student advocate in the learning process * · Work and collaborate in a team setting environment * This is a 10% per diem position that may convert to a full-time career.
We are seeking a passionate, highly-motivated individual with:
* Current California Phlebotomy Technician Certificate for the last three years * Three or more years of phlebotomy experience within the last five years * Previous directly related teaching experience * Proficiency with phlebotomy procedures and techniques * BLS certification from the American Heart Association * Ability to travel to off-campus locations * Excellent communication and instructional presentation skills * Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends

Salary range: $28.78-$59.34 Hourly
QualificationsRequired: • Current certification/licensure as phlebotomist (dependent on instructional assignment). • 3 Years of experience working with phlebotomy. • Current State of California Instructor Certification. • Previous teaching experience at desired instructional level. • Current provider certification from the American Heart Association in BLS. • Ability to travel to off campus locations for contracted instructional assignments. • Excellent communication and instructional presentation skills. • Available to work evenings, holidays, and/or weekends. • Effectively teaches prehospital care procedures. • Detailed knowledge and skill in prehospital care procedures and techniques.
