Position Description
The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Pathologist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, to serve as the Transfusion Medical Director. Applicants must hold an M.D., D.O, or an M.D./Ph.D. degree with eligibility for California medical licensure and be board certified/eligible in Clinical Pathology (CP) or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP). Subspecialty board certification or eligibility in Transfusion Medicine is desirable.
This position is at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in the HS Clinical or Clinical X series, which emphasizes strong commitment to excellence in clinical service and teaching. Demonstrated interest and experience in teaching (at both resident/fellow and medical student levels) is preferred. Clinical/translational research or other scholarly/creative activities are expected for applicants in the Clinical X series.
