Medical Technologist (Technical Specialist - Microbiology)
The Medical Technologist (Technical Specialist) provides authoritative advice and consultation for more difficult, complex, or unique tests requiring special knowledge in the microbiology department of the clinical laboratory. The work performed is in the clinical microbiology lab and includes, bacteriology and molecular microbiology. Advises all organizational levels on various aspects of the specialized testing including appropriateness that takes into consideration clinical context.
