Typically, many extremely delicate and exacting steps are required, and the instrumentation is elaborate and complex; Performing testing methodologies within the discipline of Chemistry include, but are not limited to, urinalysis with microscopic examination; colorimetric analytical testing procedures; nephrolomethic methodologies; fluorescent polarization immunoassay (FPIA); and microparticle enzyme immunoassay (MEIA); Preparing reagents, assembling equipment and verifying correct instrument operation; Maintaining validity of assay system by appropriate testing of reagents prior to use; Receiving and preparing requests for testing and specimens into the clinical laboratory and verifying the accuracy and completeness of the request; and Performing other related duties as assigned.
