This position serves as a phlebotomist in the clinical laboratory, bone marrow assistant for the clinician and specimen receiving and processing technician. The incumbent is responsible for assuring that proper technique is used for specimen collection, computer accessioning, labeling, and must ensure that patients are accurately identified. This position is to cover Ann Arbor Medical Center and rotate to the CBOC location such as Canton on a as needed basis. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
