Medical Technician (Microbiology)
The Medical Technician (Microbiology) will be working at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina. These positions are located within the Pathology and Laboratory Service, Microbiology/Blood Bank Section. At this level, the Medical Technician develops, performs, evaluates, interprets, correlates, and validates the accuracy of laboratory procedures and results. N ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-7 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
