Medical Technician-Phlebotomy
Position is located within the Pathology and Laboratory Service Line at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City, IA. The Medical Technician is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures and collecting specimens for chemistry (including special chemistry and toxicology), hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, immunohematology (blood banking), microbiology, and serves as a specialist in the processing area. To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria: ENGLISH LANGUAGE roficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
