The employee facilitates and completion of processing of patients within the laboratory and throughout the medical and surgical units within the facility. The employee in this position is responsible to perform a variety of technical and clerical duties related to receipt, processing, preparation of specimens and procurement using phlebotomy skills which entails daily potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and thus requires skill and thorough knowledge of safety and infection control.
