The Health Technician performs phlebotomy, accession specimens, and other procedures, utilizing appropriate specimen receipt, handling, and processing to ensure accurate, reliable laboratory results. The majority of the Health Technician's day will be spent performing venipuncture specimen collections from inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory units.
