Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Laboratory Program Manager: Point of Care to join our Laboratory Center of Excellence team.
Unit/Position SummaryThe Program Manager Laboratory creates system-wide policies, protocols, forms, training material for various service lines such as Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Micro molecular, Transfusion, etc. The Technical Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of system standardized, patient-centered processes and systems within assigned Laboratory area.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for all aspects of testing, instrumentation, quality control and quality assurance in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements.
- Uses data analysis, trend identification, and action plan implementation to support operational leaders in quality program management.
- Serves as technical expert and resource within designated area.
- Stays current with regulatory requirements, best practice standards, and emerging research.
- Performs ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for project management of approved workgroups to include: vendor RFP, method standardization, result reporting, training and competency.
- Participates in budget process.
- Manages System Quality Council Meeting.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree.
- Experience: 6 years' experience.
- Certification: Must have one of the following:
- Blood Banking (ASCP_BB)
- Chemistry (ASCP_C)
- Cytogenetics (CYGT)
- Cytotechnologist (ASCP_CT)
- Hematology (ASCP_H)
- Histotechnologist (ASCP_HTL)
- Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP_MLS)
- Medical Lab Technician (ASCP_MLT or AMT_MLT)
- Medical Technologist (ASCP_MT or AMT_MT)
