Position Summary: The Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist performs a range of standard and/or technically advanced procedures in one or more of the Clinical Laboratory disciplines exercising initiative and independent judgment. Communicates technical or general information to their director, and medical staff. Performs leadership role in the department, can perform or be knowledgeable of duties performed by CLS I, II, and III. Provides expertise and serves as a technical resource for others. The CLS Specialist functions as a licensed staff member performing duties approved by California Business and Professions Code, CLIA, and other regulatory agencies.
