 FACULTY POSITION

 SECTION DIRECTOR, TRANSFUSION MEDICINE

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a board certified AP/CP or CP pathologist with additional certification/training in transfusion medicine as the Section Director of Transfusion Medicine.  The successful candidate would join an academic hospital-based practice with 3 additional Transfusion Medicine faculty and engage in clinical service, collaborative research and teaching duties.  Experience in the areas of coagulation and/or hematology is desirable.  At least 3 years of post-fellowship experience is preferred.

The department https://pathology.med.uky.edu/ is an integrated Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine with successful programs in anatomic and clinical pathology, a vibrant educational program for medical students, residents and fellows as well as research affiliations with the Markey Cancer Center.  There is a strong institutional commitment to maintain and enhance research and clinical excellence within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
