Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Medical Laboratory Scientist for Newton Medical Center to work varied shifts including every other weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Funcations:
- Perform lab testing in the core lab including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation and blood bank and report results according to SOP.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.
- Perform quality control, calibrations and correlations.
- Maintain laboratory supply inventory.
- Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
- Clinical laboratory experience preferred
