The Technical Services Manager provides proactive technical guidance and support to all QualTex analytical laboratories. Drives customer satisfaction and confidence in all laboratory operations. Ensures that the technical staff provides responsive and professional oversight of quality systems, safety, and environmental compliance aspects for all analytical laboratories. Identifies and supports growth initiatives that align with the strategic business plan for BioBridge Global.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.
It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Performs Validations (new equipment/major repairs/moves). Creates, reviews and manages Analytical SOPs/Training documents.
Ensures adequate quantity of supplies and reagents for new testing are ordered in time to meet project timelines. Project management support for Customer Operations to support onboarding new clients, tests and assays.
Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers. Define standards of service and ensure equipment service requirements and productivity expectations are included in contracts and validated at regular intervals.
Coordinate preventative maintenance, IT support and BioMed activities.
Support Training and Administration Manager with training of staff on new instruments/tests.
Maintain product insert library to ensure all product inserts are up to date and that staff are trained and comply with product insert requirements.
Develop, draft, revise SOPs, training documents, validation/verification plans, test cases, validation/verification summaries and review completed validations.
Serve as Director designee when required.
Provides guidance including root cause analysis for process variability or equipment reliability issues. Generates, develops, and communicates metric data regarding lab technical/quality performance.
Follows up on customer questions relative to data quality on relevant test methods and feeds information back to appropriate Customer Operations team.
With QA and the PL Compliance Manager, ensure compliance for all inspections to include federal, state, international and local regulations, such as AABB, AATB, ISO, FDA, GHA, and EU, etc.

Compile and maintain data and other information as necessary for QualTex Laboratories use and inspection agency review.
Make recommendations in regard to hiring, terminating, promoting, demoting, orienting, evaluating, counseling, and salary changes for departmental personnel.
Maintain excellent communication with the management team and business partners. Maintain a close working relationship with all other support departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work relative to the
field of assignment. The required major is Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related discipline.
Licenses and/or Certification
Valid United States Driver’s License
US Passport preferred
MLS (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), or equivalent certification preferred
Requires six or more years of laboratory experience. Requires management experience in laboratory operations.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
