| Department of Laboratory Medicine Blood Bank Cell Therapy Processing Laboratory Stem Cell Coordinator SUMMARY Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, supervises and directs personnel in the Cellular Therapy Laboratory (CTL). Provides input into performance reviews of technical personnel. Is responsible for the coordination of laboratory Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and equipment maintenance. Maintains technical competency and fills in bench assignment as needed especially under emergent circumstances. Must be able to cooperatively work with a diverse team. Actions must consistently exemplify all HRO and CHAMP behaviors. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran. Job Specifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required (ASCP certification, or equivalent, or certification eligibility required). LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: ASCP certification or equivalent or certification eligibility required. EXPERIENCE :Three (3) years’ experience preferred performing high complexity laboratory testing. SPECIAL SKILLS: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and materials used in a laboratory that performs high complexity testing. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND: Bending, lifting, Pushing and pulling of liquid nitrogen tanks periodically required. Ability to lift and transfer 20 lbs. Hours of Work: Full time Monday-Friday Must be flexible for occasional evening, weekend, or holiday coverage |
