The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, University of Washington, is recruiting a full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor without tenure on the Clinician-Teacher or Clinician-Scientist pathway. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The primary service responsibility will be to participate in the transfusion services laboratory group of the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Centers, specifically in blood management and transfusion research. The hospitals specialize in trauma, burns, complex surgery, organ transplant, cardiothoracic surgery, stem cell transplant, oncology, high-risk OB, and neonatal intensive care.
This is a full-time, 12-month service position and remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of Winter 2021, but is flexible.
Applicants must have an M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent and be board certified or board eligible in Transfusion Medicine. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
