The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine's Transfusion Medicine Service is seeking a full-time (tenure-track or fixed term) transfusion medicine physician. Applicants should be committed to excellence in clinical services, teaching and research in a field relevant to transfusion medicine. Our service encompasses donor collections, therapeutic apheresis, hematopoietic progenitor cell collection and processing, blood component processing, and compatibility testing. Attending responsibilities will be shared with three other staff physicians.
Candidates must hold a MD degree, be BC/BE in Transfusion Medicine, and must have or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license. Experience in coagulation testing is desirable.
