The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine’s Transfusion Medicine Service is seeking a full-time (tenure or clinical track) transfusion medicine physician. Applicants should be committed to excellence in clinical services, teaching and research (in a field relevant to transfusion medicine). Our service encompasses donor collections, therapeutic apheresis, hematopoietic progenitor cell collection and processing, blood component processing, and compatibility testing. Experience in hematopoietic progenitor cell collection and processing and/or coagulation testing is desirable. Attending responsibilities will be shared with three other staff physicians.
Candidates must hold a M.D. degree, be BC/BE in Transfusion Medicine, and must have or obtain a North Carolina medical license.
