About the Role
The Staff Accountant will manage daily cash receipts, reconcile general ledger accounts, assist with the annual budgeting process, tax and audit preparation, and maintenance and generation of routine schedules and deadlines.
Assists the Director of Accounting/Controller in the day-to-day accounting and monthly close process. Prepares schedules,account reconciliations, and related journal entries for assigned general ledger accounts, which can include:
Payroll and related accounts
Revenue and expense accounts
Manages daily cash receipts, creates deposits, enters batches into Great Plains and subsystems (Personify, GP, Excel)Ensures all transactions are posted at month end and closes subsystems for the month
Review and approval of employee expense reports
Provides support to AABB staff members and outside vendors requesting information and research from the finance department
Researches differences and discrepancies upon request of the Director
Assists the Director, as requested, with preparation of audit schedules
Serves as backup to payables function
Accounting for corporate credit card for 30+ cardholders
Confirming receipts that are obtained and coding charges

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is strongly preferred.
