Works under general occasional guidance and general oversight of senior management. Manages the daily operations of the plasma donor center, quality control and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Is on 24-hour call to respond to emergencies.
JOB EXPECTATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Center Manager is responsible for center operation production goals, scheduling for efficient donor flow, strategizing and planning for success of business.
Implement key performance indicators (KPI) to maintain 90% new donor retention, HR requirements with staff, lead and develop center team.
Manage all supply and plasma inventories relative to donor flow and customer service levels.
Conduct support meetings daily, weekly and monthly to promote meeting deadlines, as well as, maintain center’s operational records.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) and applicable FDA, EMA, CLIA and State Regulations.
Responsible for all aspects of financial oversight at the center to include: setting annual budget, ensuring center meets monthly financial targets and on-going cash management objectives, and adherence to cash management, financial reporting and other financial responsibilities.
Lead and direct overall center quality compliance by ensuring the center is audit ready at all times and working with Quality counterpart to include both regulatory and customer requirements to ensure the purity and efficacy of the plasma and the safety of donors and employees.
Accountable for the direction of all personnel functions including hiring, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions, termination and the maintenance of all personnel records.
Monitor and evaluate operations. Develop action plans to improve center efficiencies and lead the implementation of process improvement.
Collects and analyzes data to maintain and improve center quality, efficiency and profitability. Implement effective corrective action plans when appropriate.
Engage in all formal regulatory audits with quality department and Quality team to develop effective corrective action plans to address any areas of deficiency noted during audits. Center Manager will participate in responses to auditors.
Follow all HSE and OSHA policies and procedures. Ensures the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training. Complete all OSHA record keeping and reporting requirements.
Maintain clean efficient work environment, and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. May conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits.
Support center maintenance to highest safety, compliance and cleanliness standards. Partner with corporate facilities to ensure center compliance at all times.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor or management.
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance or related field. Associate’s degree in specified field and 2 years of work experience such as described in the essential job functions may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.
Three (3) years of experience in plasma or whole blood preferred but may also review candidate with related experience in a clinical or general business setting. Supervisory experience, bi-lingual skills (Spanish) and experience with E-PRO is preferred.
