Nurse Coordinator -Blood Donor Center
We welcome you to join our Blood Donor Center as a Nurse Coordinator. In this role you will work under the general supervision of the Blood Donor Center Manager, Blood Bank Medical Director, and Director Laboratory Operations and will perform therapeutic apheresis procedures and recruit and process volunteer donors for apheresis and whole blood. You will also be responsible for the overall accuracy and efficiency of work assignments in the blood donor center, including quality control and instrument maintenance. You will coordinate the instruction and orientation of RN's, blood bank personnel, and students. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by the Manager - Blood Donor Center in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. This position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Nursing Executive/CNO. You will coordinate with supervisor and Nursing Executive/CNO to ensure consistent institution-wide compliance with standards of nursing practice.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. RN required, BSN preferred
Six (6) years of experience required as a registered nurse that includes five (5) years of apheresis experience
(LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a non-Nurse Licensure Compact state
(LC: RN-MS, RN-KY or RN-ARK) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
