AABB is looking for a Marketing Manager to provide professional skills necessary for the day-to-day marketing activities of AABB, developing and executing marketing plans based on the strategy set forth by the Director.
Work with the Director to coordinate marketing efforts for the Association.
Write and execute cross-channel marketing plans incorporating email, outbound calling, direct mail, print advertising, social media, and online as appropriate for the following AABB programs/departments:
Membership (individual and institutional/accreditation membership programs)
Education (distance learning and AABB Annual Meeting)
National Blood Foundation
National Blood Exchange
Develops and implements lead generation programs utilizing salesforce.com. Creates business rules and workflows for lead program.
Coordinate the marketing activities and presence at various outside meetings throughout the year (non-AABB meetings). Target appropriate books and marketing materials to send. Periodically represent the Association at outside meetings
Work with director to produce targeted surveys based on the needs of internal departments. Work with appropriate staff to identify their needs, goals, timeline and target audience. Utilizing SurveyMonkey and Qualtrics to develop the survey instrument.
On an ongoing basis, track progress of marketing plans and lead generation programs and accompanying budgets, and update directors on campaign progress.
Copywrite and distribute frequent communications to member and non-member audiences.
Conduct research on competitive position and product position.
Assist the Director as needed.
Education - Bachelor’s degree required; marketing, communications or English.
Experience - Five to seven years minimum marketing experience. Experience in membership marketing preferred. Experience with developing and implementing lead generation programs a plus. Prior healthcare and international marketing experience a plus. Experience in design and print production.

Design exposure and/or experience necessary.

Graphic Design, a plus.
This position requires sitting (80%), standing (5%), and walking (15%). Additional physical requirements are as follows:
Requires lifting materials of approximately 20-25 lbs.
Often requires computer responsibility which involves extensive use of keyboard, mouse and monitor.
Dayshift hours primarily
Must be willing to travel. Travel and other work related assignments on weekends are possible.
