Little Rock, Arkansas:The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Department of Pathology is seeking faculty in the Division of Transfusion Medicine. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock is the only academic health sciences university in the state of Arkansas. UAMS is accredited as a level 1 Trauma Center, and supports active solid organ transplant programs. The Division supports the clinical and academic mission of the Medical Center by ensuring a safe transfusion and adequate supply of blood as well as providing specialized services including therapeutic apheresis and hematopoietic stem cell collection and processing. Candidates should be board certified/eligible in Transfusion Medicine and have a commitment to education and research. The candidate will also advise students/residents and participate in faculty decision making on departmental and institutional committees. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with experience. Requirements include M.D.; board certification/eligibility in Transfusion Medicine; and licensure to practice medicine or eligibility in Arkansas.
